It’s been said that the very best girls come from Louisiana. I’m sure a girl from Louisiana said it but, that doesn't make it untrue. In fact many of the best things come from Louisiana including food, music, art and so much more. “If you ain't got a Louisiana girl better get you one.” In the mean while you can just follow some of Louisiana's best. I didn't want to do businesses but, I had to add Heavenly Sweets Bakery to this list. The bakery is owned by two black women who are the epitome of black girl magic. Trinise Prosper and Antoinette Bradford, sisters from New Orleans with purpose and God's divine favor sitting right on them. The pair opened their bakery last year and it has been a delight to watch their come up. Follow them to get your daily dose of Jesus with their word of the day. Chaila is the creator of Baeology, a real life study of people and relationships. If that alone didn't make you wanna follow this queen let me tell you more. Chaila is amazing. Her youtube series called the self series will give you your whole life. Its a must see! Chaila has been doing some rebranding for what she is calling Baeology unfiltered and I can t wait to witness that greatness. (Lol) All jokes aside, this lady wears so many hats I can't even name them all. She is always on the look out for a new business venture. The girl is always on the move. Mia does my taxes every year so you know if I trust her with my money then you know I love her lol. She is literally my go to person for all things money related. This year was Mia's first year as a camp director. Her love for children and the community led to a brilliant idea. Mia came up with Camp Lit. It is a financial literacy camp for teens. Dev is a vibe. I mean a whole vibe. We clicked the first time we met. I'm sure if she didn't like me she would have told me. In a loving matter though. That's just who Dev is and I love it.
