HELP [ How to ask for/ receive help]

Asking for help has never been an easy thing for me. I've always been a "figure it out" kind of girl. It's been my experience that when most people help you out it's not genuine. They either hold things over you or talk about you for needing their assistance. And I'd just rather not deal with any of it. "I'll figure it out Chile," are the words that regurgitate so smoothly from my mouth. This year has been a total game changer for me though. I've found myself in multiple places where I had to ask for or recieve help this year.

On my 32nd birthday I published a post entitled Audaciously 32: 6 Ways to thrive in your thirties. On that list I included asking for help as a way to thrive in your thirties. I've realized that as a 30 something with 2 kids, quite frankly, I need help chile. I can't do it all! Now insert your age here because guess what you need help too. Whatever your age is you need some help. We were created to build up one another. We shouldn't allow a few bad weeds to cease our bloom. Somebody has to plant, somebody has to water, but ultimately God will give the increase. You can't fully bloom alone. We all need help at some point in life.

I know better than anyone how hard it is to ask for and accept help even when offered. But I've come to realize that when we neglect to accept help we are doing two things (1) denying someone an opportunity to do what God told them to and be a blessing and (2) telling God we don't need Him. When we pray and ask God for anything in most cases He uses other people to "bless" us. So when we turn away our help, we are turning away our blessings. Then we sit around wondering why God hasn't responded to us. He already has, but you turned that blessing down. I get it, you've been burned enough to where you'll just figure it out but, let me tell you plainly ACCEPT THAT HELP SIS OR BRO! If you could figure it out on your own you would have by now. Let God bless you and use someone else in the process. You got this! But you cant do it by yourself 😉
