Say Yes to You

PSA: STOP SEEKING THE APPROVAL OF OTHERS AND SAY YES TO YOURSELF! The end. Period. Too many of us are missing out on the life we were meant to live because we are waiting on someone to support our ideas, dreams, etc. It’s time for us to stop placing our dreams in the hands of someone else. Everyone is not going to see the vision God gave you. He gave it to you for a reason. Not everyone will understand the visions placed inside of you and you have to be okay with that. That doesn’t mean don’t go for it. It just means that you may have to go for it alone. Scary? Yes! but, definitely possible.

Why are we so afraid to make moves alone. It’s me, I’m we. I face this problem way too often. I always feel like I need approval to achieve my goals.. I need the yes of the people around me before I make my move. And if I never get a yes, then I dead it. I felt like if the people close to me don’t see the vision, why would anybodyelse? These people know me best right? Wrong! Big ole lie! We were conditioned this way so it is hard to break out of this habit. But, this is so important for our well being and the security of our futures. Stand ten toes down for you! I’ma say that again for the people in the back, stand ten toes down for you. Place your feet on the pavement and get to running to your dreams. If you are sitting around seeking validation to live your life you are doing yourself a true disservice and you my friend will have plenty of miserable days.

We have to be okay with making moves alone. I used to be the girl that needed someone to tag along or I wasn’t going. There was no way I was going to an event, no matter what it was alone. I needed reinforcement, but then I realized that this is MY life. I'm working on MY future, where I’m going everybody can not come and I might have to move on my own sometimes. I’m glad I changed my thinking because as I’ve started to take hold of me, some great opportunities have been placed in my sights. Had I waited on someone to join me I may have missed out. Had I let the fact that no one else close to me was interested stop me from going, I’d be negleting the steps God has set forth for me to get to my dreams.

Long story short, stop seeking validation to make moves for yourself. There are some things you gotta do for you and there are some places only you can go. You’ll only see the full picture if you go by yourself sometimes. We come into this world alone, we are gonna leave alone, why are we so dependent on someone else securing us? We need to get our own lives in check. We can’t be out here worrying about who’s gonna amen us. Do you! And if they dont agree DO IT anyway! You Got this!
