Refuse to Lose

Refuse to Lose

Tuesday night was nothing short of amazing. That was the night Sarah Jakes Roberts came to New Orleans and turned the Saenger Theater out. She came with a word from God and she surely delivered. The atmosphere was indescribable, I felt connected to every woman in the building. I left that place Tuesday full of encouragement, inspiration and a will to win. I get chills watching my sister, as I like to call her, on youtube, but being in her presence did something to me. Full of all kinds of emotions and tears filling my eyes, I decided to not give up on me. Because what God has for me is already done. It is finished, so I refuse to lose. The praise and worship team she brought with her was amazing. They sung this one song that declared…

“It is finished, Sealed in heaven, Hallelujah, It’s already done!”

Those words were pierced through my ears with sincerity and before the service was over, I BELIEVED them. Sarah brought her bestie, Dr. Anita Phillips, who is a minister and therapist and the room got heavy. Women from the audience were allowed to ask questions. This segment was called rescue Eve. The thought behind it is when you know better, but don't do better. We all mess up and sometimes we even know better. Kinda like Eve in the garden. She knew she was not supposed to eat the fruit, but she did it anyway. I loved this segment because every question aked was answered and gave me a little more insight to my own life. One lady asked, “how do you keep going when you feel like you’ve already lost?” This one resonated with me so much because I feel like this quite often, DEFEATED. The response to that question was just what I needed to hear though. My good sis Sarah said what usually stops us from fulfilling our God given destiny is either a bad memory or a lie. “You’ve got to get to the root, whether lie or memory and rebuke it.” The devil doesn't want us to do what God has called us to do, so he works overtime trying to deflect us and we’ve got to rebuke him. So I proclaimed that night that devil you can kick rocks boo. Refer to the quote above: IT IS ALREADY DONE. My sis brought the heat with her and it was definitely an experience. So, because I was blessed, I’m going to give you 6 things Sarah said that will bless your life.

  1. Stop trying to catch up. It's a lie sis. The devil will have you running on a hamster wheel. You are right where you are supposed to be!!

  2. You only get disrupted when you are in process. When you are stagnant you can't be disrupted.

  3. Disruption doesn't equal destruction. Get hit but get up and go again.

  4. When God gives you a will you have to place it in an environment of miracle so you can be surrounded by the power of God, because the power of God is contagious.

  5. Miracles can not grow in certain environments. Be careful who you surround yourself with.

  6. God is looking for a woman that can carry His wind. Who can get knocked down and rise up. Is that you?

This only a snippet of the word my girl Sarah gave. I left that place full of something only God could give. If you have the opportunity to go see Sarah please do. You will not regret it. My sister told me there is a fight going on and I REFUSE TO LOSE! How about you?
