In the midst of Coronavirus

In the midst of Coronavirus

Life has been totally discombobulated as of late. It’s not just a New Orleans thing, but a worldwide thing. This COVID-19 has been a mess. People are getting sick, people are dying and yet there are people who won’t just STAY HOME! And that fact is killing me. Like how are you warned about a deadly virus, about what simple measures you should take and then you totally ignore it. Sounds stupid right? But people are actually doing just that, ignoring mandates and doing what they want. It’s sad and selfish. It seems people need those little message updates like on Don’t be a menace while drinking your juice in the hood. Like group of people gathered to get crawfish. MESSAGE! Large gatherings here and large gatherings there. MESSAGE! Yall really out here passing this around like a blunt, but as for me and my house we are in the house and we will be here for as long as we need to. And we are trusting in the Lord may I add.

Don’t get me wrong, I would love to be out and about just like everybody else. Being home everyday, all day kind of makes me miss work. But knowing what is going on in the world I dare not expose myself or my family to this. I’m hoping some of you will come to your senses as well. Are the kids driving me insane? YUP! I am being snacked to death, but I’m managing. I swear Grey says “mommy I’m hungry” atleast 100 times a day. Oh and I have become her personal drink pourer. I have never met a person this thirsty in my life. On another note I am enjoying the down time. Not having to wake up at 5 am has been lovely. I haven’t put on make up or real clothes in over a week and guess what I aint worried. So, yes there are plenty of things I could be doing, but I thank God for this time. How many times have you wished to spend more time with your family? How many times have you secretly wished for the opportunity to work from home? Think about it, how often are we on social media complaining about needing days where we can do absolutley NOTHING? Well in a not so perfect way we have been granted all of those things.

People are really dying from Coronavirus. Hospital staff are putting their lives and the lives of their families at risk everyday. Stay at home people. Adjust and move forward. Nothing will change unless we do. During this trying time in the world let’s make wise decisions. Although everything is not ideal, it is managable. Let’s all do our part to flatten the curve. Adjust accordingly and move along. My condolenses are with everyone who has loss someone to the Coronavirus. I am praying with and for everyone battling it currently. Thank you to all who are risking their lives for us daily. And to everyone else, wash your hands and stay home, This too shall pass!
